  1. This is v1.1 of the DULIB GUI library for Lattice C.

  7. SUMMARY 
  8. --------

  10. For those of you who didn't see v1.0, DULIB is a Windowed Dialog 
  11. Application library for GEM, which provides a great deal of support 
  12. for callback functions, making custom widgets very easy to create.
  13.  
  14. The scrolling list & Icon Popup are examples of widgets created using 
  15. these callback functions.
  16.  
  17. Check out the online help file for more info & documentation on the library.

  19. It is in ST-GUIDE .HYP format, so you need the ST-GUIDE accessory 
  20. to view it.

  22. The EXAMPLES directory contains sample source code for using the 
  23. various calls in the library.

  25. About DULIB 
  26. ------------

  28. The GEM GUI as used in older applications is pretty feeble 
  29. in this age of X Windows, MS Windows, RiscOS, et al.
  30.  
  31. The API provided by GEM, although allowing you to create nice 
  32. programs, requires a lot of effort to do it.
  33.  
  34. The idea behind this library is to provide a better 
  35. application model for programs under the Atari version of 
  36. GEM.
  37.  
  38. This was developed to provide the GUI for the CLA series of 
  39. electronic CAD programs. The (as yet) unreleased CLAv3 will 
  40. be the first Data Uncertain program to use this release of 
  41. DULIB. A version for HiSoft Basic exists, but has no 
  42. documentation files for it (and I'm not likely to write any, 
  43. so I'm not going to release it generally).

  45. CLA is sharware, DULIB is FEELware - ie. FEEL free to send 
  46. me some money, but don't FEEL obliged to :)
